You can not fault Mike and Pauline warm welcome and friendly approach. They try and make your stay as comfortable as possible. With a variety of rooms and great breakfasts you can’t go wrong staying here. All room are very clean and well equipped. I stayed here whilst on business but would come back with my family. I have now stayed at The Grey House on 2 seperate occasions totalling 5 weeks. On each visit I have found the staff to be polite, friendly and fastidieous in their upkeep of the rooms. Bedding is frequently changed thus maintaining a very high standard of cleanliness. The owners, Pauline and Mike are extremely personable people and their efforts to make ones stay pleasant are I feel unequalled. No task seems to be too much trouble for them. The breakfasts are nothing short of superb and all are provided at the guests stipulation. Excellent location owned and staffed by wonderful people. Thank you for making my stays very memorable. A truly lovely place to stop. Never been to Bristol before, had a lovely time. Pauline and mike made us feel right at home, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was perfect, every ones taste is catered for. First class accommodation. Would recommend trying. Many thanks pauline and Mike, will be back.

Brilliant place to stay, friendly and warm staff who go out of their way to ensure that you enjoy yourself. Would not stay anywhere else when visiting Bristol. After 2 years of accommodation I reluctantly have to move on but will always remain a friend and avail myself and use their hospitality at every future opportunity. I stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of January and could not have had a better stay. Pauline and Mike are lovely people, and made me feel very welcome. I stayed along for the first night and my partner joined me for the other two. They ensured I had everything I needed, and I felt comfortable staying along on the first night there. The room was perfect, lots of storage space and very clean and tidy. The room was cleaned every day which was excellent. Breakfast was brilliant. I'm not a big breakfast eater, but if you are, you will be in your element. The full English breakfast is very generous, and there is a selection of fruit, cereal and yoghurts, and fresh juice etc. The location was great for me as it's just off the M5. I don't come from a big city so get a bit panicky in busy places, so it was great to be so close. I would definitely use The Grey House again if I'm ever back in Bristol, and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Had a wonderful stay and my waist has expanded somewhat due to the excellent breakfasts I had over two weeks! I am now back on the exercise bike shedding the extra pounds in readiness for my return next year. My room was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. A word of thanks yet again to Mike and Pauline at The Grey House.My most recent stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as the previous times I have used their accommodation. All facilities clean and tidy, comfortable bed,tasty food well-prepared,and served with a smile! As hosts, nothing seems too much trouble for them and their informed and helpful attitude makes the guest well cared for. Excellent all-round service and value!

Just a note to say we really enjoyed our one night stay at your B & B. We were so pleased with the rooms and the breakfast superb. We don't come down that way much but would certainly come again and I've passed my recommendations to my cousin who lives in Bradley Stoke

Just off J16 of the M5 and only 30 mins from central Bristol in rush hour traffic, this modestly-priced B&B ticked all the boxes for me. I found a spotlessly clean and comfortable room and bathroom, free WiFi, a substantial cooked breakfast very well prepared by the owners Mike and Pauline Tilley, who are just as pleasant and welcoming as the other reviewers say. The establishment comprises several buildings: my room No 4 was self-contained and had a door opening directly onto the car parking area,which allows you to comeand go as you please without feeling that you are tramping through someone's house! The place was full when I stayed: several of the other guests were regulars and I could see why the place generates a high level of repeat business. Grey House is cheaper than the budget chain hotels in central Bristol and well worth it. The owner managers show just how to combine value and efficiency with warmth and personal service. I recommend this place without hesitation and will stay again the next time I stay overnight in or around Bristol.

I am coming to Bristol purely for business purpose and have to (again) say BIG thanks for your excellent hospitality. It is always a pleasure to stay in your place. You make everyone like at home. Back on Monday 3rd October 2005 you took me on, probably your biggest challenge taking me in! Now 3 years 3 months and 16 days later its time for me to leave. Just spent two nights at the Grey House. Pauline and Mike are excellent hosts, the rooms are spotless and a sumptuous breakfast was served on both mornings courtesy of Mike's excellent culinary skills. Great location for Cribbs Causeway if you're looking for a bit of retail therapy and ideal for visiting Bristol city centre and surrounds. Would highly recommend the Grey House, a gem well worth discovering!!

I had to work for 3 days in the Bristol area and found 'Grey house' perfectly located between my work area's. With clean rooms and excellent breakfast, I had a very comfortable stay. I found nothing I asked Mike or Pauline for was too much trouble!! I had no hesitation in making another booking with them when my company asked me to return to do further work even though i will have to travel a bit further to do it! I have also recommended the 'Grey house' to my company as a comfy place for researchers coming up from London attending briefings in Bristol!! Mike and Pauline are Diamonds!!
