Just off J16 of the M5, just down from the link with the M4, we are not only easy to reach and easy to find, but also ideally placed for travel to the wider South West region, with quick links to Gloucester, South Wales and Bath. If travelling by public transport, we are but a few minutes away from Bristol Parkway railway station, one of Bristol’s two main railway stations connecting the city to the rest of the UK, as well as having excellent bus connections to both Bristol City Centre and other local areas.
Abbey Wood is one of the largest MoD sites in the UK, including being the major centre for training and apprenticeships such as for advanced engineering. Situated in Filton and only a few miles down the road, Grey House Bed and Breakfast is a perfect place to stay for anyone visiting this major site in Bristol.

Filton Airport is one of Britain’s oldest airports and been at the heart of many major aviation developments over the last century, including the world famous Concorde. Filton is one of the leading areas in the aviation industry, not only historically but also in the development of today’s technologies and one of the main draws to not only Bristol but the wider South West. Filton boasts being the home of Airbus, one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world, as well as major centres for BAE systems, Rolls-Royce and MBDA, all world leading players in aviation and all centred on the Filton Aerodrome. The Airbus centre in Filton also recognises this tradition by being the home to the Concorde Visitor Centre, celebrating the important place Concorde has in the history of the industry and transport as a whole.

Being Bristol’s largest out-of-town shopping district, Cribbs Causway offers a large range of shopping options, including many of the largest and most popular brands and companies in the country, as well as many unique, specialist shops in the large shopping mall. A short stop by train to Bristol Temple Meads at the heart of Bristol takes you to shopping and leisure centre of the city, including the brand new Cabot Circus and Broadmead shopping centre offering extensive, modern shopping district to complement the famous traditional and boutique shopping locations around Bristol, such as those found in Clifton. Also in the City Centre you will find many museums and art galleries, a wide range of high quality and exotic restaurants, the stunning Bristol Catherdal and of course, the world famous Brunel’s SS Great Britain. Further around Bristol you will see further evidence of Brunel’s influence on the area, including the iconic and world first Clifton Suspension Bridge.
